Gone Campin', NO Sunday Dinner!

I'll be leaving soon to go camping with my sister Donna/Zztop so I'm posting this early. We're only going about 15 miles away to a local state park. Actually, it's practically in Donna's backyard, only about 4 or 5 miles from her home.

Anyway, I won't be posting my Sunday Dinner, mainly because I have no idea what it will be. Donna is in charge of procuring supplies for this trip and I'll be having whatever she brings. It'll be cooked outside and consumed there too, so it's bound t
o be good. In my opinion, almost anything cooked and eaten outdoors tastes better than something cooked indoors.

Don't let my lack of a menu stop you from sharing your plans for your Sunday Dinner. Just share your menu or your plans in the comments, and I'll catch up when I get home, which will be sometime Sunday afternoon/evening if all goes as planned.

We plan to do some fishing in the lake, which incidentally is also where Jessica and I went fishing last week and I caught the turtle. We'll do some sitting around the fire
and just some general not much a' nothin'. I'll try to get some pictures to share here amongst all the laziness and fishing.

May God meet all your needs, and may you have enough to share.

My love to all,

It sounds like a wonderful way to spend the weekend. I seriously think you should have s'mores for desert at some point. One of my favorite things about camping. That and sitting around the campfire, and the fact that the guys usually to the outdoor cooking, and the relaxed atmosphere.....I just like camping!!
Have a great time.

I'm jealous.

My version of 'camping out' is getting a law chair and sitting in the backyard.

Have fun, and be safe!

You are the outdoor girl for sure!

For Sunday dinner we had Italian! My son went to Fazoli's for us and his family. They came to our house after church to eat and visit for awhile. I had Penne Chicken with Marinari and ph had Spaghetti with Marinara Meat sauce.

Hey--anything I don't have to cook is great with me!

Wow Diane, is it camping season there already? We still have our camper in storage with anti-freeze in the waterlines. I asked my hubby to take me camping for my birthday, mid June. My very favorite trip - sleeping where it's pitch dark, all those stars, crickets, and eating outside with clothes you turned wrong side out to get another day's wear out of them. Hope you have a great timexoxoxo

Hope your camping trip was fabulous! I haven't been camping in years and I'm dying to go. Maybe this summer.

As for my Sunday dinner? Well, my parents usually host Sunday dinner and they're gone so, well, it was leftovers for us. Bleh.
