One Last Post

Hey, zztop357, Cecil, Ducky and other friends and family. I talked to Bill late Monday night and he said Polly has to be at the hospital at 5:30 am Tuesday morning, and surgery is scheduled for 8 am. I told him we have been and will be praying for them. I have Bill's cell phone number if anyone wants to call and check on them, just e-mail me or call me if you want the number. He said to tell everyone they appreciate the prayers and concern, and to call him if you like. If you don't want to call him, I will be calling throughout the day checking on them, so call me to see if I have any information if you're interested.

I am excited, again. Did anybody notice I managed to add my photo to my sidebar? And just think, it only took me 2 hours, a personal best!! Not only that, I added a world map counter, which counts and records the number and location of all the visitors to my blog. Woo hoo!! Next thing you know, I'll be writing my own html programs.......

NOT!! So, so NOT happening, folks. I'm just about as close to splitting the atom here in this little room in my apartment as I am to writing html programs, people. Clueless......hopeless......fumbling.......totally lost.......just a few of the adjectives that come to mind concerning my relationship with puters and programming. Even better, just about the time I begin to get a tiny bit familiar with something, it UPGRADES beyond what little grasp I had of it. It's only a matter of time till everything improves beyond my understanding, and I have to start from the beginning, struggling to learn the new program. I am resigned to my fate. Even now, I still just blunder along blindly till someone puts me out of my misery, or till I stumble upon what I want to do. Boomama helped me last week when I wanted to add some links, bless her heart. Sometimes I just have to abandon a project, because I just can't figure how to do what I want to do.

I look upon computer programs kind of like I do the human body. I know there's stuff inside there that's necessary for the apparatus to function properly, but it ain't natural to be looking at it. I accept that I have a liver, lungs, kidneys, etc. inside, working away, but I don't want to see them, or know all the details, as long as they work properly and do their jobs. Same with computers and programs. I know they're there, but it ain't right to have to pop the hood on the puter and look at the inner workings. I don't mess with my wiring and plumbing, so why should I have to poke around in all that html and code to do something simple like add a photo to my sidebar? I am traumatized for a sizable portion of time every time I scrutinize the computerese that makes up my blogger template program. In the immortal words of C.W. McCall, "From up here, it kinda looks like a can of worms." I may learn to get by in this area, but don't look for me to excel, 'cause it ain't gon' hap'n, folks. I know my limits, and they're right there on that blogger template page, in html code, plain as day to some uppity geek computer programmer, and clear as mud to dorky redneck me. I bet I can make better cheesecake or homemade yeast rolls than that puter geek, though. So there, phbbbtttt!!! (blows raspberries) ;)

I is getting very sleepy, for some reason. Might have something to do with the fact that it is now 3:30 am, you think? Nuff of this for now, more later today, if I can get motivated. Later...........

I may be getting up or going to sleep at any time, sis. I have always been that way. It doesn't matter when I go to sleep, anytime day or night, as long as I get 8-10 hours of sleep. It's better for me and everyone I come in contact with that I get plenty of rest, :)

No telling what kind of blood I may have, knowing our family history, both sides. LOL

Computers/HTML are hard to learn. Thank goodness for the "preview" section on Blogger (although Blogger is always acting up). I have kind of taught myself, but that's just the basics. :) There are some websites out there that helped too - do a Google search for "HTML tutorials"...they helped me a lot! :)

Thanks for visiting my blog! I will be back! :)
