Sunday Dinner, November 2, 2008 - Gone Camping!

No Sunday Dinner this week, folks. I'm going camping overnight with my sister, DONNA, and won't be home until sometime Sunday afternoon/evening. We're only going about 20 miles from my home, if it's even that far away, and about 4 or 5 miles from Donna's place.

Donna's grandson has a birthday in a week or so and Donna's taking Jon and 5 of his friends camping as a early birthday gift for Jon. The boys will have their own tent and Donna and I will have a big tent to share, praise the Lord.

Wish us luck.

I took lots of pics at our church hayride and weinie roast and I'm sure I'll take more on the camping trip. We plan to do some fishing so if I catch Moby Dick I'll be sure to get his picture for the blog.

Y'all have a great Sunday and enjoy your Sunday Dinner. I'm not sure exactly what's on the menu, but it's sure to be a sandwich or some kind of camping fare for us.

See y'all when we get back!

I'm jealous, you said camping! That and fishing can keep me happy anytime. Hope your weekend trip is good and you really do catch Moby Dick, although I hope you don't get pulled under. Ha!

Well now! I just dropped by to see what you are having for Sunday dinner and even thought I might be invited in. I am in the mood for some good Southern cooking and now I find that you have "run away from home. I looked at your entry regarding Salsa. I just got home a week ago from visiting my daughter in Tennessee. She had whipped up some Salsa with carrots! pickled Jalapanos! and everything else that you would expect in Salsa and added bottled lime juice. I could have eaten it with a spoon it was so good.

Have a great time today.

Camping - in November - wow! We'd freeze our tushes off! I was all set to tell you we had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade rolls and chocolate ice cream, but never mind. Hope you guys had a great time on your weekend away.

A bad day of camping is still better than a good day at work...:)

Camping is good. We are going across the mountains to visit Leavenworth again for a couple of nights next week but will drive the car rather than taking the RV. I don't like to get the motorhome out in snow and Stevens Pass has an elevation of over 4100' so this time of the year snow is a definite possibility up there. Leavenworth is a Bavarian style village in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, not the Federal Prison town in Kansas!

Glad y'all had a good time.. Maybe you can go again soon.. before it snows! Ha! Although I know you wouldn't care if it snowed when you went camping! Love, Cecil
