Yes, I realize I said I'd probably be back to do this meme on Monday or Tuesday, but I'm a just a leetle bit late. I'm here now though, so let's get started:
MOMBO @ HE THINKS I'M FUNNY tagged me for this one. I won't tag anyone, but if you do the meme, leave a comment or email letting me know so I can go check it out, and feel free to use the meme button I made. It's universal and can be used for any meme.ANOTHER NAMELESS MEME
Favorite person (outside family): I honestly don't really have a favorite person outside my family. I'm all about not playing favorites with anybody, so I would say I don't have a favorite person.
Favorite food: It's still the same as it was in the last meme I did: almost any kind of fish or seafood, especially shrimp, and cheesecake.
Quirks about you: This could go on forever. Hmm....I don't really care for chocolate, except white chocolate, which I love! I can't stand anything gritty or anything clumpy like flour under my fingernails. Ugh! *Shudder!* There, that should do it for now.
How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less? Stubborn, generous, loving, loud, animal lover, steadfast, even keeled, dependable....Notice I put stubborn first. ;o)
Any regrets in life? A few. Who doesn't have regrets? Some things I'd do over, but for the most part I don't dwell on the past. It can't be changed. I live for today.
Favorite Charity/Cause: COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL. If you don't know about it, check it out.
Something you cannot get enough of? Emmy sugars and hugs, diet Coke and Coke Zero, my family's love and Jesus.
Worst job you have ever had? Live-in babysitter. It turned into live-in cook, housekeeper and whatever else she thought up, as well as keeping the baby.
What job would you pay NOT to have? Any job working with more than 2 kids at once.
Guilty Pleasure: Bacon. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream. This is another one of those things that could go on forever.
Got any confessions? Yeah, riiight! This will be just between me and you and the rest of the world wide web, hmm?
If you HAD to spend $1,000 on YOURSELF, how would you spend it? This one's easy. No question, I'd get my terrible teeth pulled and get dentures. Assuming it could be done for a thousand bucks these days.
Favorite thing about your house? Don't have a house. We have a tiny 4 room apartment, but all utilities are included and we can afford it.
Least favorite thing about your house? See above. It's a tiny 4 room apartment.
One thing you are good at? I'm a good cook, or so I'm told.
If you could change something about your circumstances, what would it be? Finances and living quarters.
Who would you like to meet someday? I'm not a celebrity follower at all. I'd most like to meet all my blogging buddies. Seriously.
What makes you feel sexy? I almost just deleted that question without answering it. But it's a fair question, so I think it's when my hubby shows me that I'm loved and sexy to him.
Who is your real life hero? My Mama, no doubt.
What is the hardest part of your job? Since I'm disabled and can't work, the only job I have is taking care of my hubby and home, and keeping Emmy so Jessica and Jason can work. The hardest part is keeping up with Emmy. It's a lot different at 44 with severe arthritis than it was at 23 when I was healthy as a horse!
When are you most relaxed? When I'm reading, crocheting while watching TV or when I'm in here blogging.
What stresses you out? Strife and anger in my home or family. More than any other thing, including finances or lack thereof, illness or any other crisis.
What can you not live without? Not much that I can't live without. At heart I'm a simple girl with simple needs. I do *heart* my air conditioning, especially when the temps are in the mid to upper 90'sF and beyond. Like now, for example.
Do you agree or disagree with the recent article that reported that blogs are authored by narcissists? Excuse me just a minute, I need to go gaze at myself in the mirror again....
First, I'm not familiar with the article mentioned.
Second, I think it depends on why you blog. Some people have private blogs and don't have any readers other than themselves. Others don't allow comments, so they can't be blogging for the praise of others. On the other hand, I'm sure there are those bloggers that get off on the praise and approval they get from their commentors.
Why do you blog? I started blogging to maintain an online diary and to keep in touch with family who have computers. It's evolved to include many friends and family in real life who read my blog and either comment or email me about my blog to keep in touch. And also my blogger friends that I've made over the last 2½ years, some of whom I've met in real life and most who've become so close we're like family to each other. And that concludes today's meme. Join us next time when we'll have another exciting post that might, possibly, maybe, be another meme. Or maybe not. You'll just have to tune in to see. Y'all have a great Thursday.

What could be more exciting than bacon, strawberry cheesecake ice cream and Emmy sugars? :o)
Oh my word, I laughed out loud at the button you created. That wide opened mouth kitty is hysterical.
I loved all your answers Diane and not a single one of them surprised me. Love your openess and honesty.
But we all know you're the real deal and you always have been. It's my favorite thing about you.
OK, the one thing that surprised me is you said you're loud. We need to meet in real life so you can prove that to me because you never come across as loud to me.
You're one of the most gentle people I've ever "known."
xoxoxo
Barb
Oh...how funny...Barb really doesn't know you does she? Ha ha...you are LOUD and so am I and I'm sure that Emmy will be too. Enjoyed the meme and yes, the button was pretty cute.
Hi Diane,
Another fun meme! Like Barb, I would never have thought of you as loud. I just visualize this gentle, soft spoken and very loving lady.
That's how you've always come across to me..
xo
I enjoyed reading your meme answers Diane. I learned that I started blogging for about the same reason you did, to keep in touch with family who blogged too.
I think it's a crying shame that we live in such a busy time that this is the basic way we keep in touch with family. I fondly remember the days when family just 'dropped-in' for a cup of coffee and stayed for supper.
Those were the 'good old days!'
Blessing's & Hugs Diane
I just love reading your answers to various memes, you always make them so interesting:-) Like you, I think I'd much prefer to meet my blogging friends than any celebrity...I'd be too shy to advance a celebrity anyway! lol I know, this coming from a gal who collects celebrity autographed photos! hehe
I love your attitude about not dwelling on the past and regretting things...living for today is definitely the right way to go:-)
This is another meme I wouldn't mind doing so will have to work on it! xoxo
Hi,Enjoyed your meme !And learning more about you.
Hope youre having a great day!
Blessins',Lib
Another fun bunch of answers - I think we should at least talk on the phone!
It's POURING rain here and has been for hours - most unusual. I'm sitting here all bundled up, with the heat on. Go figure!
Diane
that is wonderful your electric is included in your rent! Keep cool in these humid summer days.
hope you are well.
Mim
Hi Diane,
I'm trying to catch up on my visiting today. I really enjoyed your meme. I feel I know you a lot better from the answers you gave, and I must say I really, really like the kind of person you are.
Thank you for the kitties meme graphic. I will use it when I do another meme, that is if I don't forget to insert it in my post. I probably won't do the one you just did as I think I would have trouble answering some of the questions.
I hope you have a good rest of the week, Diane.
Hugs,
Betty
You are such an honest person! I love that about you!
I would love to do your meme, but I am so busy with 2 jobs every day (even though I work from home), and then caring for all my cats also takes up close to 2 hours every morning and another hour every night. I agree with most of your answers....you are so sweet!!!
Still working on that calendar thing, to no avail I might add!
Have a great evening!
(((HUGS)))
Diane, I have lived without air-conditioning BUT, it sure is nice....At my age I probably wouldn't do well without it. But, I suppose I can what whatever I NEED to do. You know what I mean?
I missed that article that said "blogs are authored by narcissists" How in the world did they ever come up with that one?
I am going to go get a kleenex to wipe these tears away from laughing so hard.
Have a wonderful week.
I enjoyed your meme!! Good answers!! Its like getting to know you!!

Gday Dianne, Enjoyed reading your Meme We learn a lot about people when reading these,,, Well I have to say I love Seafood.. and like you love to knit, Crochet, read to relax, and my family is my world.. Take care...
Hi Diane!!! This whole meme...you're so wonderful at the answers given. I've read one other you did a few days ago...and I'm amazed at your honesty and style!
This meme? ---I truly loved your answer for "any regrets". The part where you live for today. Yep......so me too!!!
Wonderful work on the meme. I really enjoyed reading your answers. It's fantastic.
Narcissists? No way, not us at least.
Diane,
I enjoyed getting to know you better through your meme.
Narcissist? I started my blog just for fun. I do love all the blogging friends I've made but do not require praise to enjoy blogging. I thought all narcissists were men. LOL Only kidding. There are many women narcissists and I've met a few.
I loved the answer to your "regrets" question. I do have regrets also, but only a few and I live in the present and let the past go. That's the way it should be.
Take care and have a great weekend. If you'd like to see the mess the tenant made of the apartment I have some "before" photos posted.
Blessings,
Mary
You know I love this memes - a great way to know a good blog friend even better!
We have a lot in common - even if living far apart (the world is getting smaller you know - as we get to know each other), and on of them is the passion in seafood (but then again, I'm a Norwegian).
Btw: Thanks for the visit and comments on my last post about the heat is on in Oslo. I do love the comparison too: Right now its 1 hour past midnight and Diane says: 'the sky isn't dark enough to see the stars'.
We both wish you a lovely weekend.
Love and hugs ;-)
I still like your blogs and really, really think you ought to write a book. Really....it would be great.
Diane,
You must be the queen of MEME this week. I've just been reading them. Very fun reading! Believe it or not I have one on my blog today, too. It's all about books though. You have been posting more often, so I guess I'm just gonna have to check in here more frequently than usual.
We are HOT here in Ohio today and expecting more of the same. Of course we have the air on. I hate it when we close up the house for that. Here we are in our little box. I think fondly of a time when we had the windows open all summer, fans going, radios blaring from everyone's houses. We were a real neighborhood. You could walk clear up to the bus stop and never miss a play of the Cincinnati Reds game! Good old days.
Love,
Nancy
Great meme Diane!! You always write so well. I'm glad you said you'd like to meet your blogging buddies because one of these days my car may take off and head to Arkansas to visit you!!
If I had to live without AC, I could, but I'd sure miss it, especially on days like this when it's up in the high 90's!!
I do hope you have a wonderful weekend!! :)
Hi again Diane...
By your invitation a few days ago, I DID to your "unnamed meme" that you did before this one.
It's posted today on my blog [below the photo of Saturday's Bad Hair Day photo]
