"What Women Want" Book Review & Giveaway

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a women's Bible study, "What Women Want" by Lisa T. Bergren and Rebecca Price.

The book is divided into 12 chapters, but I like the way it's written in that it is easy to study at your own pace. It's not necessary to complete an entire chapter in one sitting and can be customized to your needs and time frame.

There's enough meat in each study to keep you digging into The Word for days or even weeks if intense and introspective Bible study is what you're looking for, but you can make it as in depth or as light as you choose according to your needs.

There's no date or time frame assigned to the studies so you can linger on something that God is really teaching you through, or move on if you're eager to get to the next juicy part of the study.

This study is suitable for personal Bible study and group studies alike, and accommodates for any stage of spiritual growth, from new Christians to mature women in Christ.

Another thing I like about this study is that I see it as something that can be used more than once in your Bible studies. As you change and mature as a Christian so will your needs and wants. I see this as a study I might want to repeat in a few years just to see where God is growing and maturing me.

THE SATISFIED HEART BLOG is hosting a giveaway HERE, and you can also leave a comment there for a chance to win a $15 Star*bucks card.

The authors were gracious enough to send me a copy of the book, and also one to give away here on my blog. If you'd like to enter to win a free copy of the book, signed by Rebecca Price, leave a comment on this post. Only one comment per person will be counted.

This giveaway will be open until noon Central Standard Time on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at which time I'll use a random number generator to choose a winner.

Please NOTE: This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada only. Please be sure you have a working link or a valid email address with your entry comment. It's a bit difficult to contact you to tell you you've won and get your name and address information without a valid link or email address.

I'll announce the winner in my Sunday Dinner post on Saturday evening, May 10, 2008.

Best of luck to everyone!

Thank you, Lisa and Rebecca, for choosing me to review your book!

Y'all have a great week.

De-lurking to say Hi and I'd love to be entered to win this book. I always enjoy stopping by your blog - you are my kind of pal (Food + family + sense of humor = good buddy for me!). I do wish, though, that you'd stop referring to yourself as an old lady - we are the same age, and I am most certainly NOT AN OLD LADY :)

Hey Sweetie. I agree with anonymous about the "old lady" thing. I'm wa-a-a-ay past your age and don't like to give in to the stereotypes! I'd love a try at the book. I think it is so great that you were chosen to review it and give one away.
Love,
Nancy

Hi Diane, I saw your comment on Jeana's blog about how much the kids have grown, and wow it is so true--Especially the oldest, who is 11 going on 30--so wise for her age!
The study sounds great. Please enter me for the drawing.

I love your bog. I sorta stumbled upon it. I need all the cooking advice I can get. My hubby was raised in Alabama and I in Missouri. He knows good cookin. There's no foolin him. I struggle so. I come from a different generation than he did. He is 12 years older than I. We have different concepts in the cooking dept. I be back for some lessons.
