Sunday Dinner, February 24, 2008

Did you get a good look at the Sunday Dinner graphic for this week? And did you happen to notice that sandwich on the chef's tray?

Yes, I'm afraid it's true. Sunday Dinner this week is going to be sandwiches if you're eating here at Diane's Place. I have some baloney and some smoked turkey breast and my sister Ducky is picking up some more lunch meat and bread. Add some chips and that's our menu.

So what's the plan for your Sunday Dinner? Just share your menu/plans in the comments if you want to participate this week.

I've had Miss Emmy all day today, then I went to a first birthday party for Ducky's grandson, Seth. He'll be 1 year old on February 27th. It doesn't seem possible that he's already a year old, but he will be in a few more days.

Emmy will be a year old on May 8th. Where does the time go??

We took pictures, of course. I'll post one of me and Emmy now and save the rest for another post. I'd planned to post several pictures but Blogger is being a horse's patooty about loading pictures and I'm TARD tonight, so I'll be satisfied with this one picture and my other graphics for the moment.

I and both my chins say, "Hello."

Emmy says, "No, I will NOT look at the camera. Whatever is happening over there is MUCH more exciting than what you have to offer here."

And now I'll wish you all a wonderful Sunday. May God bless you with all you need, and enough to share.

Diane,

I think your Sunday dinner menu is a good idea. I've been feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days. If I don't feel better tomorrow, hubby will be getting sandwiches. If I do, I will plan something more elaborate.

The photo of you and Emmy is lovely. She is a adorable. Thanks so much for sharing.

Michelle is walking quite a bit around the house. I keep encouraging her, but think she is afraid she will pull out the staples. She gets them out Monday, so maybe the doctor will give her clearer instructions on what she's able to do.

Take care and have a great Sunday.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Diane,
Well, I must say I'm a little disappointed! I was looking forward to some of that Texas Hash for Sunday dinner!! But then again, I like good ole baloney too! I guess with all that partying you and Ms. Emmy did you're probably tired!

I love the picture of you two. You're both just cute as buttons!!

Love and Hugs,
Hope

Good Morning Diane,
I know, it's way early, but since I slept most of the day yesterday, I am up a bit early than normal. I am waiting on my coffee to get done and then I have to get my DH up at 4:00a.m so he can get ready to leave out at 5:00a.m. Hey, ain't nutin' wrong with sandwiches. I love the Smoked Turkey and the girls do too. That's what we had for our supper last Sunday. My DH cooked out on the grill for me yesterday, so me and the girls will be having some Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs for our Sunday dinner here. I can't believe Seth is going to be the big 1 already. They do grow up fast. You and Miss Emmy look very good together there. When you want them to look at the camera, they won't. When you are just holding or looking at your camera, they want their picture made. LOL. That's how our girls used to be when they were smaller. I have been wondering if you were sick or something. I know you haven't been around to visit that much this past week. I have a nephew that was out all last week with Bronchitus. He had to go to the doctor twice last week. Did you see it Snowing on Friday night? It was around 10:15p.m. or somewhere in that area. It didn't stick that much because it was mostly a wet Snow, but there was a tad bit on the top of our vehicle. It was too dark for me to take a picture of it with my Cell Phone Camera. I haven't done much visiting over the weekend myself as I've been in the bed for the most of it. I am trying to catch up now. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

LOVE THE PICTURE!!!!

Pass me a balony sandridge* please?

Hubby's first day off since last Sunday so I'm sure we'll get out and about. The roads finally cleared but the fog is fierce right now but it will surely burn off later!
I don't care if he stopped at McDonalds at this point, I just want out of this house!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

*My beloved Dipsey calls sandwiches sandridges *smile*

Fettuccini alfredo, salad, garlic bread while we watch the Academy Awards, at least til it gets too late or we get too tired of all the long, boring speeches. And that fettuccini alfredo - right out of the jar! I'm a simple girl and he's easy to please.

Me and my chins say hi back! :o)

You and Emmy are precious!

Sunday dinner? I haven't a clue. With Rosie sick, it's just sort of blah around here...

Diane,
That really is a lovely picture of you. And that baby is just as cute as can be!

Sandwiches sound great to me! I'm down and out with a terrible flu, so I think it's going to be toast and tea for me for the next several days. Ugh...

Sometimes a sandwich sounds better than a full course meal:-) I haven't had a baloney sandwich in so long! Today for dinner I'm making Italian spaghetti, garlic bread and a salad. Gosh, as you say, hard to believe that Seth will be a year old already, I still remember when you posted about his birth!! Love that picture of you and Emmy:-) Take care of yourself my friend and hopefully you can have a relaxing day! xoxo

Hi Diane,
Love the picture of you and little Emmy! Can't hardly believe Seth is having his first birthday. It seems like just yesterday we were praying for his safe arrival..
Unsure of Sunday dinner at this point. Life is just way too much up in the air to plan too far ahead.
No one will be hungry, I know that for sure. There's certainly a blessing in that..

Hi Diane...

Sandwiches sound great. My husband likes his sandwiches hot though, so I'm thinking about making reubens. LOL! I'll decide later, because dinner is our evening meal, and I have a good 5 hours before I have to start thinkin' about it!

Hope your Sunday is lovely!

Beef stew and bread in the bread machine for us tonight, while we watch the Academy Awards.

That photo of you two is too cute, Diane. Looks like you're having fun.

I think your plans for today sound nice and easy and relaxed. That always works for me!

Your granddaughter is so cute! I pulled enchiladas out of the freezer and made spanish rice. We love Mexican food so of course it was yummy! Have a great week.

We had such a great time having lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant with the pastor, pastor's wife, and a missionary from Ukraine. We had a great time. He was a wonderful speaker, and great things are goinga on over there.

I know that these clothes are going to last maybe two years, if they stay small. We're going to have to change their clothes several times a day and take pictures to get them all worn!

They do have lots of clothes to grow into, too, but not matching, of course.

You look so pretty in that picture, particularly with that cute "baby hat" you're wearing! We had white chili and cornbread for Sunday dinner. Yummy! Feeling a little under the weather today, so I'm going back home to bed.

I think the is a very good photo of you and Miss Emmy. I know what you mean about the time slipping away so fast. Seth will turn a year old May 31st and big brother Riley turns 5 on April 23rd. Seems like just yesterday Riley was diving into his first birthday cake with both fists. I look for Seth to start walking any time now too....

This kids just keep getting older and older and we stay the same....lol

Have a Great Day Kiddo.

Diane, I had planned chicken for dinner but we got home late from church and I just opened a can of beef stew and made some rice. Tonight we will eat the chicken....

I made a key lime pie that I found over at Grannies blog so we will have that with the chicken.

Miss Emily is almost one! Time flies too fast. Before you know it she will be walking and running and Granny will have to chase after her.....

Talk to ya later.

You and Emmy look like quite a pair. If you are like me, you can't get enough of the little grand babies. Some of mine are grown now and the rest are threatening to do the same. I keep on snugglin' with them though, even so.
Our Sunday dinner was at Smokey Bones. Sometimes we just eat out if we don't have something going in the crock pot. I just don't cook on Sundays any more.
How is your Easter program coming along. I hope someone can get photos of you during the performance.

Our Sunday dinner was at home and it was stuffed green peppers, one of my favorites. I know what you mean about where does the time go and we don't have a baby to help keep track of time with. Of course we were married just a week or so before Emmy was born so we have that close date in common with your family. And our late sunroom is finally getting close to being finished!

Good Evening Diane,
I'm just dropping by to check on you. I haven't seen you around in a while. I do hope that you haven't come down with any of that sickness that's been going around. Our youngest daughter has a stopped up nose and cough now. I am much better today and I cooked a pretty good supper tonight. I am trying to catch up with everyone as I was still in bed yesterday. I didn't post or even visit anyone at all yesterday. It's a good thing we still had some Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs left from Saturday. They have all been eaten now. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
