Ugh! I'm Sick

Just a short post to let everyone know that I'm still alive, but barely. Apparently Miss Emmy very generously shared her tummy bug with me. Fortunately so far I haven't been upchucking although I've certainly felt like it at times. No, I just have a bad case of what my Mama called the "back door trots", referring to the days when everyone had to go out the back door to the outhouse. I suppose that would translate to the "down the hall trots" in this modern day and time.

Just the thought of food makes my innards roil and ache. I'm achy and sore all over and have a headache. If poor Emmy felt anything nearly as badly as I do I feel sorry for the poor little thing. She's doing much better but still has some lingering diarrhea herself. Jessica had diarrhea Saturday but is fine now as far as I know.

I've spent most of the last 2 days and nights in my recliner, dozing fitfully. My tailbone is sore from sitting/lying in my recliner but I don't feel like sitting up at all. I do think the worst of it is over. I just turned my computer back on a few hours ago. It had been turned off since early Sunday morning. I think that's the longest time my computer's been off in over 2 years, at least while I was at home.

So anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten the meme I've been tagged to do, or the award I just discovered that I've been given, but it may be another day or 2 before I feel like getting them done.

I'll be back as soon as I recover sufficiently enough to hold my head up for more than 15 minutes at a time. In the meantime, y'all have a very happy and joyous Christmas season.

Gotta go...quite literally. :-)

Good Early Morning Diane,
I'm so sorry you are sick. Cecil had mentioned you were sick on her post today. I was afraid that Miss Emmy gave it to you. I will pray for you to get rid of that terrible bug. I hate being sick like that. I think that's the worse sickness there is. Okay now, don't get upset, but I'm LOL at the "back door trots". I haven't heard that in years. I remember hearing my Mom and Grandmother saying that. I have been known to call it something else before, but I won't go there. LOL. Be sure to drink plenty of liquids so you don't dehydrate. I am glad Miss Emmy is feeling better. Don't worry about us here on bloggyland, you just worry about yourself. Take care of yourself because Christmas is real soon and your Family is going to need you. We will be here when you are able to get back. Take care my friend and have a Blessed Wednesday(best you can anyway). May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Bless you1 I was worried that you might get that bug from Emmy! You take care of yourself! Suggestion--Yogurt with probiotics might help you get back to normal. Lee's nurse recommended it to counteract the effects of antibiotics and it works--almost too well!

Boy, Diane. Just what you didn't need. Hope you feel better soon.

Cameron's newest daycare delight is pinkeye and I'm making very sure he doesn't share with me this time!

Diane,

I'm so sorry that you've been going through this. My grandsons have given me some pretty nasty bugs in the past. Brandon's favorite is to give Grandma strepped throat. I'd never had it until he was about seven. I've had it three times since then.

I am suffering from an ear infection, so am not feeling 100% either.

I'm adding you to today's prayer list that I posted. Be well soon, my friend.

Blessings and love,
Mary

Sorry to hear you are feeling icky Diane. Those back door trots are no fun! Thank God we don't have to go out the back door anymore!! :) I certainly recall those days!

I had a bit of a sore throat last night so I hope I'm not coming down with a bug. I have been gargling with warm salt water which seems to help, but I still feel kind of icky. Take care of yourself!

I am so sorry Miss Emmy chose to share with you, when you specifically asked her noit to! She's so very generous. There's a lot of flu going on around here, too. My co-worker's 3 kids had it one after the other, and now she's missing more work because they shared it with her, too. So fatr so good here!

Take carfe, my friend. Hopefully the bugs will depart and not come back.

Good Morning Diane,
I hope you bundle up and stay dry today. It is still raining here as I'm typing this. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. "PRAISE GOD". Just continue to take care of yourself and drink plenty of liquids. I hope you find what you need at Monsterworld. LOL. It always seem they move stuff around too much. One week a certain item you need is on one aisle, and the next time you go back to get it, they have moved it. Why can't they leave things alone in there? LOL. Well, take care my friend and have a great Thursday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
P.S. I hope you picked up the Award I gave out today also. I love to share them with everyone.

Diane,

I'm so sorry you're sick. No fun at all. My prayers are with you, and I hope you're feeling better very soon.

I keep meaning to tell you this...
Whenever I read about you eating catfish I get so jealous! When we were in Arkansas at Thanksgiving, I told my husband that I could not return to Colorado without eating some fried catfish. He agreed that was a fantastic plan, and we told his parents that's what we wanted to do one night (they were taking us out to dinner anyway). Well, the one night we were free to go out for dinner was Monday, and every catfish place within a 50 mile radius was closed on Mondays. Arrghhh! We ended up eating Mexican, but I still haven't satisfied my craving for catfish. And I'm still jealous!

Again, feel better soon.

Love,
Meredith

Oh dear, I do hope you're feeling much better by now! I'm so behind visiting these days, not enough hours in the day!! I'm pretty much done now with all the Christmas preparations so from now until Christmas itself, I should be able to relax and get back to my blogging routine:-) Know that I'm thinking of you and hoping that you no longer need to use the back door! lol xoxo
