An Update On Mikki & A Valentine's Recap

I have some cautious good news to report on Mikki and Danny.

Mikki's blood pressure has come down a few points with the addition of yet another medication and her doctor let her go home from the hospital with orders to rush back to the ER if her blood pressure goes back up. It's still too high but they're trying to keep baby Seth in Mom's womb as long as it's safely possible for both Seth and Mom.

With another six weeks until her due date and Mikki's eclampsia I'm afraid only our prayers are going to keep Seth and Mikki healthy. Thanks to ALL OF YOU who have prayed and are praying for them. We're already seeing those prayers answered as Mikki got to go home, but they still need our prayers. Thank you again, my dear friends, and Mikki asked me to pass on her thanks as well. I told her that there are a lot of good people praying for them, people who don't even know them. Mikki was touched that YOU care enough to take time out of your busy life to pray for someone you don't even know.

I'm touched.

THANK YOU ALL, MY DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

God Bless you all.

Right now I'm still at home. Mikki's Mom is supposed to be visiting for a few days and should be staying with Mikki and Danny as needed. I may or may not be needed to stay with Mikki according to how things develop with her eclampsia.
As I said before, if I do go to stay with her I'll leave a short post explaining my absence and you can always check in with my sisters Cecil and Donna for updates if I'm at Mikki's.

by Pea at Pea's Corner as the winner of Pea's
decoupaged Valentine's trinket box.
I'm happy to report that the trinket box arrived safely in
Arkansas at my home on Wednesday,

and here is the photographic evidence. This is the envelope for the handmade card that
accompanied the beautiful decoupaged trinket
box that Pea made and sent me all the way
from Canada. I don't know if you can make it
out from my picture but the detail on the flower
and vase is exquisite.
Now the inside of the card...The top of the box...And the surprise contents of the box!
Chocolate!!

Thank you, Pea, I LOVE it!
These beautiful tulips in a planter were a
Valentine's Day gift from Jason and Jessica.
A bonus is that when the flowers fade I
can plant them outside in my flower bed
this Spring and they'll bloom again for
years to come.

Thanks to all of you who sent me a Valentine
through the Valentinr link on one of my
earlier posts. I appreciate all of them so much,
but now I'm really wondering who sent
one as Anonymous and called me
Honey Girl...Hmmm??? ;-)
This picture was taken last Sunday afternoon
after dinner. Jessica had a backache and Cecil
was massaging her back. You can't really tell
from this pic but Jessica's tummy is
beginning to really round out.
Her belly just fits in the vee of Cecil's lap here.

We can just feel Emmy moving now if we put
firm pressure on Jessica's tummy.

If we ever slow down long enough I want

to take some more belly pics. I have some
ideas for some poses that I think will be really
sweet and make for some nice and memorable
pictures of Jessica's pregnancy.
This last picture is of Jessica and her Great Grandpa,
Horner Davis. This was Easter Sunday, 1988 and
Jessica was 4 months old.
Horner was a cotton farmer all his life, and I love
the contrast of young and old in this picture.
Weathered skin and delicate baby skin.
A life well-lived and in its twilight years,
and new life in its dawning.
I love the look of gentle adoration
on his face, and that Jessica seems
innocently unaware of that adoration,
or maybe she just accepts it as her due,
as most children do that are
extravagantly loved.

It's getting late here in Dixie so I'm going to
close up shop for the night.

May God richly bless you beyond all you can imagine.

All my love...

Eclampsia is so scary, Diane. I know they're going to keep a very close eye on her. Eclampsia is why Krissy had an emergency c-section but Cameron was only two weeks early.

Rob and I are such old fogies. We ended up staying in last night with KFC because we both realized we'd miss American Idol if we went out. LOL (I didn't feel like braving the cold to wait an hour for a table anyway!)

What a gorgeous package from PEA!

Keep us posted on Mikki. I know you'll all be glad when this is over and the baby is safely delivered.

That was such an enjoyable read, Diane. I'm so glad to see answered prayers and I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well.

Pea is pretty creative, isn't she? I don't know where she finds all the time, but she just keeps spreading love and joy all over blogland.

I meant to add a thank you for the encouraging comment you left me about the health issues. It truly does offer hope for a painfree future when I hear from others who have experienced similar ailments.

I stopped by Cecil's blog before I came here (She's ahead of you in the alphabet) so I'd read about Mikki.

With 6 weeks to go, every day is crucial and I'll continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Beautiful valentine treat from Pea. She's amazing.
