Sunday Dinner, October 29, 2006

It's that time again, folks. Time for me to share my plans for my Sunday Dinner, and for you to share yours with me and the rest of my readers. I'm afraid some of you will be disappointed with the menu for this particular Sunday Dinner. I've cooked the last several nights, so for my Sunday Dinner, I plan to grill hot dogs and fry boloney for sandwiches. We may stop and get some chips and maybe some Little Debbie snacks if somebody particularly wants them, otherwise, that's the extent of my menu plans. If anybody wants anything besides hot dogs and fried boloney sandwiches I hope they're prepared to bring it.

How about you? What are your plans for Sunday Dinner? Are you cooking? Going out to eat? Where? What do you plan to order? Just leave a comment sharing your plans if you want to participate.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. May you be blessed with all you need, and enough to share.

Love,

Everytime I hear fried baloney sandwiches, I think of Mom. She l.o.v.e.d them and the baloney would look like a little hat as it cooked!
Today is our daughter's Halloween open house party, so it's lots of finger food and munchies. I'll be taking pictures!

I had a couple of steaks left from Bev and Don's visit so we're having steaks, baked potatoes and salad tonight.

But I have to tell you, your fried baloney sandwiches sound better to me. Seriously. I love them. With mayonnaise and crispy lettuce!

Hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday. I'm taking it easy today, too.

Nothing special happening in my kitchen today. I'll probable have a crab salad for dinner as the crab needs used and a big bowl of salad greens with radis and peppers is alredy in the fridge. I also have some chocolate pudding made. So guess that will have to do.
I have to try a fried boloney sandwich one of these days! I remember frying it for breakfast and the edges always got a little over cooked.

I don't know what we're doing for dinner tonight. I ate a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios last night. This cold has left me with no appetite.

Maybe some takeout Mexican food. The spiciness might help my sinuses.

Have a great day Diane!

Yippee! I can say, unusual for me, I'm cooking tonight. I found a recipe from someone - cant remember who - for mushroom and chicken stew in the crockpot so thats cooking now, served over rice. It was a gorgeous fall day here - screamed for soup or stew for supper.

Yeah - for once I don't feel like I'm the only one not fussing with a big dinner on sunday. However, since you usually make the most delicious sounding dinners ever, I guess you may be excused :-)
I'm glad you're taking a break. You deserve it.
Have a good one!

Hi Diane, I just discovered your blog and your recipe blog.
Last I made Swiss Chicken Casserole. It was yummy!

As usual, the kids were over (well, half of them anyway). I fixed a dish that my hubby's aunt fixed for him when he was in college in Chicago. I usually fix it on top of the stove, but there was too much this time for that, so I stuck it in the oven for a couple of hours and it turned out wonderfully! It involves pork chops with a slice of onion, covered by a ring of green pepper, the whole pan covered with spaghetti sauce. When it's finished, serve it over spaghetti. My grandson was looking forward to "grandma's famous spaghetti", and was terribly disappointed with the canned spaghetti sauce. Oh, well, can't please them all! His daddy loved it.

I made Pamela's pumpkin bars, but the pan was too small and I substitued to make it lower fat. I liked them, but they didn't have the consistency they should have. That's what I get for messing with a recipe!

Have a great week!

I love fried baloney but I've never tried it like that in sandwiches? Hmmm will have to try it one day...usually it's just cold baloney in the sandwich! I had chili from Tim Horton's Donut, a coffee and apple fritter..yummmm!! Hugs xox
