What's For Dinner, Y'all?

It's Sunday again, and time to share what you're having for Sunday dinner. That's the noon meal here where I live. I think we're having either Texas Hash, which is hamburger, macaroni and tomatoes with some onion and spices, along with some veggies still yet to be determined, or hamburger soup. That's self-explanatory, I think.

Now it's your turn. Yell back in the comments what's on for vittles at your house today, or where you're going for lunch. Don't make me too jealous, though. ;-D

May God richly bless you and yours today with plenty to eat, loving family and good friends.

Good Morning, Diane!

I'm making a big crockpot full of beef stew for Sunday dinner. We're having cornbread with honey butter and a salad to go with it.

Budget's tight this week so all my cooking will involved big pots of "stuff" that goes a long way!

Happy Sunday to you, too. xoxoxo

That hamburger soup sounds like something I may try later in the week. For today, we're off to the ocean, for a picnic on the beach! I'm thinking we'll probably pick up some Take Out Chinese to have when we get home.
enjoy your day...

Sunday dinner? What a GREAT idea! I can't tell you the last time I fixed a meal at home (well, other than b-b-q-ing something! ) Today--we are celebrating our daughter's first wedding anniversary--and we were planning a meal out at a restaurant. Maybe I'll ask her if she'd like something at home! And hopefully--everyone will show up!

That's been the dilemma--hubby is on an airplane out of town, oldest son is at his condo--doing who knows what!, youngest son is making the most of his last days off from school. Never know when they'll show up...or IF! So, stopped making those great, bonding, Sunday dinners!

You've motivated me however--I'll let you know how it goes!

Hello Diane, your lunch sounds yummy. Is that like a goulash maybe? sounds good to me.
I made a pork roast, I marinated it last night in lowfat Italian dressing and ground peppercorn. I put in in the crockpot while at church. I made homemade scalloped and cheddar potatoes, asparagus, and fruit salad. A big ole gallon of sweet tea.
I love this Sunday get together!! Barb the stew looks yummy too except I make mine brown my kids dont like anything red.

Today we had lasagna ( wonderful microwave recipe that doesn't heat up the house, Italian bread, 5-lettuce salad (bought in a bag), cherry chip cake and ice cream. Pretty good.

I reckon we're having leftover pizza because I haven't made plans for anything else. We had the Shoney's breakfast buffet this morning, so we've stayed full all day.

Have a great remainder of the weekend Diane!

I'm going over to say HI to your baby girl now. -Jenn :)

Hey Diane!

My blog reading has been "on the fly" lately, so I'm spending this Sunday evening getting back "up to snuff" with everybody.

Well, as you might expect, there was no Sunday dinner here. :) After church, B and I just grabbed some coffee and ran a couple of errands. BUT...for supper tonight, we dined on some delicious cheeseburgers that B cooked outside on the grill. Oh my WORD, were they good!

Tonight I stopped by Jessica's new blog and left her a comment. She's such a cutie and I join y'all in your excitement about Jason.

Have a great week...

I love checking on blogs on Sunday evening, and visiting you; I seem to forget this post every week, and its such fun to find it again. So we had rosemary chicken and wild rice (WW recipe) with green beans. Trying to eat a bit more healthy and I am in the mood to cook after such a long break. Sue's - now that made me jealous. A picnic on the beach - who cares what they're eating, sounds so fabulous! xooxxo

I had the best Sunday meal of all, one that was cooked for me. My stepmama makes the best pasta with white clam sauce and she invited us over for dinner AND my little one is spending the night! I feel like a queen.

What a fun idea for a Sunday post! It so happens I just wrote to Tammy about our Sunday dinner almost not happening at all because I followed the link from her sidebar to Dew on the Kudzu, and got so engrossed in reading about the vine that's eating up the South, that the time slipped away totally. Good thing we were just having leftovers that evening. I'll try to do better next time! (So this kudzu stuff, it grows so quickly???)

chicken & gravy with pancakes was a treat that was introduced to us by relations in Pennsylvania. delicious!

I guess the one thing that I know how to "cook." Mexican chef salad. It makes enough for at least two meals for just me so that will take care of tomorrow, too.

Never let it be said that I put misleading information into the blogosphere. I ended up making a big old pot of chili for dinner Sunday. And the cornbread. With honey butter. And I made a double batch of Pea's rhubarb crisp.

I know what you're doing. You're canning, aren'tcha.
