Brenda Shanghai'd Me For A Meme

Brenda tagged me for this meme, which Code Yellow Mom adapted from a game on a pizza box. Here goes.......

What was your favorite thing about being a kid? I think I'd have to say it was the long, seemingly endless summer days. Carefree and
full of adventure, they were. Of course, endless is good for summer days, but bad when it took forever for Christmas to get here.

What was your favorite subject in school? In elementary it was reading and spelling. In junior high an
d high school, it was choir, science, home economics and English, which also included literature.

Who was your best friend when you were 10? Hmmm.....I had several friends, but not really a "best "friend when I was 10. In 6th grade, though, I met Lori K. who became my best friend all through junior high and high school. I recently ran into her at Walmart (of course!) and we picked up like we'd never been apart, even though we haven't seen each other in almost 20 years.

If you could be any animal, what would you be? My first choice would be an eagle, but Brenda got there before me. So...my second choice would be a pampered cat. Maybe not much quantity of life, but, oh, the quality!

What would you change about your school, occupation, life right now? I think I might have taken a little better care of my body if I'd known I was going to live this long. I honestly thought the Lord would come back before now, and I still look for Him every day. Other than that, not much at all. I don't dwell much on the things in the past, and things I can't change.

What's your favorite color? I like many colors, but jewel tones are my favorites. Royal blue, royal purple, emerald green, ruby red, fuchsia, etc. I like pastels, too, though.

What's your favorite type of crust and favorite topping on a pizza? I just like pizza, and I don't turn down too much. I DON'T like anchovies, but I like most everything else. I like any type of crust and supreme is my favorite topping.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

I'm going to be pretty busy for the next several days. I have to do some shopping for home and I'm going back to the Ozarks with my sister Donna this weekend. We're going to camp out over the weekend at a beautiful, rustic place called Gunner Pool. It has a crystal clear creek to swim or fish in and lots of wildlife to see. No electricity or running water, only an outhouse. I can hardly wait!! I know BooMama and several others of my readers don't envy me at all, but there are some of you who like to camp, like Sarah, and know just how I feel. I'll try to take some pics while I'm gone. I'll also try to post again Thursday night, but I know I'll be busy Friday morning and we're supposed to leave Friday afternoon, then be back on Sunday sometime. This will be the first time I've been camping in 8 years, and that was at the same place we're going this weekend. We drove down there last weekend and checked it out, and it's virtually unchanged in that time. The toilet still stinks just as bad, too, for your information. The weather should be perfect. Low 80's in the daytime, and low 60's at night. Perfect for a campfire, too. Hot dogs and marshmallows, YUM!!

It's getting late and I'm getting sleepy, so enough for now. Later, peeps!

I have to say that I fall into the no camping side of this one, but it does sound like fun, except for maybe the part about the outhouse! Have a fun, safe trip!

I think you would have a cushy life if you lived a pampered life like my Vincent cat!
Pampering does not seem to be part of the plans for this weekend though, does it! I like the whole idea except the outhouse.
Take lots of pictures...(not necessarily of the outhouse)LOL!!!
{{{hugs)))

I love the fresh air, but not the outhouse part, nor the sleeping on the ground. Now - if I could have one of those really neat campers with a clean "facility", and a comfy bed, I"d go for camping!

Thanks for stopping by for Care Bear's celebration.

Loved your pizza meme answers:-) Now I'm hungry for pizza!!! Actually that's what I plan on ordering Saturday for supper after we've spent the day making all the food for the party on Sunday!! We were always camping when I was growing up...dad had bought a tent trailer and we'd go all over the place to camp...I loved it! Haven't gone camping in many years now though! Have a fun time and just bring some nose plugs! lol Hugs xoxo

Thanks for playing, Diane. I'm with you on the camping. I prefer a camper, but a tent will do just fine. My favorite part is the campfire.
