HAPPY WEEKEND! ! ! !

Happy Weekend, everybody!!! That's about as focused and organized as my thoughts are at the moment, so everyone reading this post, be prepared for sudden topic changes and detours to chase rabbit thoughts wherever they may roam. I don't really have any purpose for this post except for the purpose of random bloggery, I suppose. That sounds kind of nefarious, doesn't it? Tee hee........

I did just visit Meow from Australia, and you may remem
ber from your geography studies that their seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of ours here in the Northern Hemisphere. Which means they are experiencing the latter end of their Fall, moving into their Winter. I always thought it was the strangest thing, that Christmas is the hottest time of the year for them. Utterly foreign to me, lifetime resident of the Midsouth, USA. She talks about it being cold dreary there, and it's absolutely gorgeous here today, after more than a week of storms and rain every day. It's 75 degrees and sunny, with just a light breeze. It's best we enjoy it now, for tomorrow, we roast. :-) That's not far off the mark, either. In the next few weeks it will probably heat up and dry up around here. I just moved all my houseplants outside for the summer, so I hope we don't have any late frost. I really think all that's gone for the summer, though. Meow had a really neat list about Noah's Ark that she gave me permission to reprint here, so here it is:

" The woodpecker might have to go....."

Everything I Need To Know About Life I Learned From Noah's Ark...

1. Don't miss the boat.

2. Remember that we are all in the same boat.

3. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

4. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old someone may ask you to do something really big.

5. Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

6. Build your future on high ground.

7. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.

8. Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

9. When you're stressed, float a while.

10. Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

11. No matter the storm, there's always a rainbow following.

*************************************************************************************

Well, friends, that's all I have for now. I'm going out for the evening, and I'll be back later tonight. According to how tired I am, I may post again, or not. Cheers!!

You forgot number 12. Be prepared. When building an ark and traveling in pairs, remember to leave the mosquitos behind. :-)

I know I have said this before Diane, but it's worth repeating. You are so good about writing about everyday things, and make them so entertaining in the process.

Have a good evening/morning.

Faith,
Thank you so much. You know I love your blog, as often as I visit and comment!! ;-)

Connie,
Yes, Meow has been a friend for some time now, and is linked in my sidebar. Thanks for your kind words, and I love your blog, too. Not much rest for me, though, I've been pretty busy the last several days. :-) Hope your Sunday is good, too.

Mike,
I don't much like mosquitoes, either, but I suppose God let them survive for a reason. Maybe so the bats and other insect-eating critters would have something to eat. ;-)
And thank you for your encouraging words, too. Some days I feel like my blog is about as entertaining as the assembly instructions for a gas grill, LOL. ;-)

Brenda,
Thanks, and hope you have a great weekend, too! :-)

Just checking in - you have been conspicuously absent from the blogosphere this weekend, and I just wanted to make sure that all is well. It's been so humid that I wondered if you're arthritis was giving you fits. Regardless, you've been missed!

Hope your weekend was nice and you were able to relax and enjoy it! The weather here was beautiful. Thanks for your sweet comments. You always have something so thoughtful to say!

Hey, BooMama,
Everything is fine, I've just been busy this weekend. My arthritis is about like usual: hurting and I'm stiff, too. Thanks for thinking of me, and for missing me, too. I'm touched, truly. :-)
AND FOR MY FAMILY: NO, I DIDN'T MEAN IN THE HEAD, SO JUST KEEP YOUR SMART ALEC REMARKS TO YOURSELF.

Sue, my weekend was great, thanks. It's been cloudy and rainy off and on all weekend, and cool, but Friday was gorgeous. And you are very welcome for the comments, and I will be praying for you. :-)

Hey, Diane ... thanks for the kind words (from you, too Connie !!). Your posts are always so interesting, I apologise for not commenting as regularly as I should. I always read them, though. Sometimes I just don't have much to say !! I agree with Mike, about a number 12 ... the Mosquitoes !!!
Hope you have a wonderful week.
Take care, Meow

Meow,
You're welcome. I meant every word. :-) As for not commenting, you have nothing to apologize for. I don't comment every time I visit a blog, either because I don't have anything to add to the conversation, or I'm in a rush, or whatever. :-)
Hope you have a great week, too, Meow.

Since when has "random bloggery" been a bad thing?! I think that your randomness is merely a product of your creativity and your versatility.

Of course, this is coming from a person who can talk about how much he can't stand Bush in one post and how much I suck at being a Christian in the next...

As always, terrific post. Loved the Noah bit, by the way. It was catchy...

Nashe,
Hey!! Glad to know you're still kickin'!! I've missed you, but I figured you were busy with school. Drop by whenever you get a chance. :-)

Andre,
Thanks for the encouragement. How 'bout we just say we're versatile, then, rather than random or indecisive? LOL. :-)

And at least you know where you stand on those 2 issues, LOL. ;-)

I've missed you, too! Hope your pain and stiffness subside soon.

zztop,
I said no smart alec remarks about the empty head, but I'll forgive you since you said that about me having a big heart, LOL. :-)
I love y'all, too. :-)

Brenda,
It's nice to be missed. ;-) And thanks for your concern about my arthritis. It's an every day thing, worse some days than others. :-)
