Sunday Dinner, August 30, 2009

*****I HAVE A BOOK GIVEAWAY GOING ON HERE FOR THOSE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED****

I had plans to cook Sunday Dinner this week, but was given a reprieve by my nephew Danny and his wife Mikki, who invited us to eat Sunday Dinner with them and their 2 year old son Seth.

So Danny and Mikki will be cooking my Sunday Dinner this week, and it's perfectly fine with me to let someone else wear the chef's hat this Sunday. I have no idea what's on the menu but I'm sure it will be delicious.

What's on tap for your Sunday Dinner this week? Share your plans/menu in the comments if you'd like.Lamar's eye is the same as far as his vision. It doesn't seem to have improved any at all so far. It seems to be a little more swollen so we're keeping watch on that. Otherwise there's not much change in his condition.

Thanks again to all those who've prayed and are still praying for him. Once again we wait to see if his vision will improve.I took some pics last week of Emmy that I'll share with you all. I think they all speak for themselves, so I won't caption them.Okay, I lied a little about not captioning these pics. This is the rocking chair that Jessica had custom made for me. See what I meant about it being extra wide and extra low? ;o)
Diane is TARD tonight and it's already late, so I'll wind this up and get it posted. Y'all have a blessed Sunday. May God meet all your needs and may you have enough to share.

Seams like I am the first to comment this time, so let me say good morning Diane :-)

Hope your dinner at Danny and Mikki will be fabulous!

Haven't decide for dinner today, but maybe baked salmon - I'm Norwegian you know :-)

So cute pics - thanks for sharing this sunshiny girl!

I've seen the pics 3 times now and they're just as cute every time. I love your new chair - what a thoughtful daughter!!

We're having dinner at church today, called Friendship Sunday. I think every Sunday should be friendship Sunday, but it's okay to designate one especially, I guess. It really is to highlight the small group opportunities we have going on in our church these days. It'll be fun, and I don't have to cook anything! It's not pot luck.

Have a great time with your loved ones.

I've come a long way for my Sunday Dinner today and I know that my sister in law is preparing a wonderful Mexican dinner for us. We traveled from Kentucky to the coast of California to see them and that's where we're at right now. It was a long drive, but a nice one.

Diane it was a nice surprise to hear from you again and I must say that Emmy has sure grown quite a bit since I last saw her and she is such a cutie pie.

Enjoy your Sunday dinner.

Hugs to you & yours.

Sandy

Your new chair is gorgeous! I bet you love it. What a great gift from Jess!

I've been reading your updates on Lamar's eye but haven't gotten a chance to comment. I wish it were going better for you all. I will continue to pray for him.

Emmy is as cute as ever. And she really is a beautiful child. She doesn't look one bit shy either!

Hope your lunch with Danny and Mikki was wonderful. Love, Sammy

I cannot tell you, Diane, how surprised I am by how much little Emmy is growing! Wow! She's got the cutest expressions. I'm certain she has a sense of humor to match. My prayers continue for Lamar's eye and I'm glad you have a reprieve from the Chef's duties. Enjoy!

Love and (((HUGS)))!
Michael

I am kind of inclined to go out for dinner but haven't yet talked with Pat about it. We have a new car coming soon and she is on a save money kick so she may just want to eat in. We finished lunch not too long ago so dinner is still a ways off.

Hey, what happened to BABY EMMY? Who is this half-grown Emmy who looks like she could almost be a teeny-bopper?

Put a rock on that girl's head so she'll stop growing up for a while.

Hi Diane,
That is a beautiful chair. What a thoughtful gift from Jessica.
I did see Emmy's pics on Jessica's site, but enjoyed them here. She's so pretty. And it's so nice that her Grandma is so close and hands-on with her.
Sunday dinner for us was yummy Taco Bell!
Have a great week. Continued prayers for Lamar too.

Emmy is a little doll! So very cute!

Hubby had to work all weekend so I didn't make anything special, in fact I have no idea what we had on Sunday!! Isn't that one of the signs????
