Emmy Pics, Gifts & Awards...

...Not necessarily in that order.

Whew! This has been a busy week for me. I've had Emmy nearly every day and had other things to do besides. I'm working on some crochet projects for a certain Nana and her new granddaughter that's expected to make an appearance the first week in March and that's taken a large measure of my leisure time that's usually spent blogging and commenting.

It's a labor of love, though, truly it is, and I'm pleased with my efforts so far. I'm sure the Nana I mentioned will share some pictures when she receives her package, and I'll take some pictures before I mail the package to share with those who may not read her blog, although I don't know many people who DON'T read her.

Is that vague enough for you? I'll reveal all soon, I promise, for those of you who may still be in the dark regarding that Nana's identity.

Now, though, I want to share what was inside a package I received last Saturday in the mail. I wasn't expecting anything and was surprised when Lamar said he had to go back to the mailbox and retrieve a package in addition to the usual bills and stuff addressed to "Occupant", whoever that might be. I just throw his mail in the trash since he never comes by to pick it up. ;-)

I was delighted to see that the package was from my dear blogging friend, PEARL @ CAMEO AND LACE (private blog). She sent 3 outfits for Emmy, the cutest little purse you ever saw with a pink poodle on it and a little pink poodle figure that sits in the purse, and a card of purple hair clips. It'll be a while before Miss Emmy can use the hair clips, but the rest of the things she can wear now! As you can see in the pictures, Emmy is still working on growing some hair.

Here she is wearing the first outfit. You can't really see the
denim skort that goes with the sun top but it it's adorable on her.
That's Grandpa Lamar she's sitting with there. I wish
I had a better picture, but Emmy's mood deteriorated
right after I took this and this was the best of the
lot I had already taken. Here's the purple outfit that the purple hair clips
coordinate with so well. Don't you love the fur
collar on this one and the tulle over the skort? And here's the pink poodle purse and pink and grey
dress combo. It has a long sleeved pink onesy with it,
and the dress can be worn alone or with the onesy. And now just some random pics of Emmy that
I've taken over the last week or so.

See my teeth?!Yep, just call me T R O U B L E! ;-)What she was after --- Abbie the cat is very
tolerant, but not up for being chewed and slobbered
upon, for some strange reason that Emmy
just cannot understand.Since Abbie won't cooperate, Emmy will find
something else to get into, never fear!
And this last one I took at church last Sunday.
Emmy was dressed up in a pretty pink frilly
dress and headband but I was the only one
in our Sunday School class at the time and
Emmy was bound and determined to jump
off the table if I let go of her for more than
3 seconds. I wanted some full length pictures
of her with her pretty dress, and some of her
with me, but it just didn't happen, so this was
the best I could do. I had to hold Emmy with
my left hand and take the picture with my right,
so I could only take a picture of what I could see
at arm's length. And now to acknowledge some awards. Please don't be offended if I leave you out, it's only an oversight and not a deliberate slight, I promise. If I inadvertently fail to acknowledge an award you've given me, please just email me and I'll take care of it as soon as I can.

Both KAREN @ KAREN'S KORNER and MARY @ MARY'S WRITING NOOK have honored me with the Cool Cat Award. Thank you, ladies, and I think you're both pretty Cool Cats as well! ;o)

KAREN and MARY both gave me the Toadally Awesome Award, and KAREN also gave me the Royal Banana Award.

LISA @ KENTUCKY WOMAN has given me Forever Friends Award and the Spreader of Love Award, and LYNNE @ LYNNE'S LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD has flattered me with The You Make My Day award.

Thank you all, dear ladies! Your love and friendship is precious to me, and please know you're loved and "friended" right back.

You can find these and all my awards on MY AWARDS PAGE.

I'll have Emmy all day Saturday so I'll certainly be busy. I'll crochet when I find a few minutes, such as when Emmy's napping. Unless I'm wiped out and nap when Emmy does, that is. I'll also be back to post my Sunday Dinner later on Saturday evening. And as of right this minute I have no idea what Sunday Dinner will be this week. Hopefully inspiration will strike me between now and posting time.

Y'all have a great Saturday!

I wish I had a baby around to borrow for a day or two each week. I really miss babies in my life! Emmy is so cute, but I'll bet she wears you out sometimes.

Gee, I wonder who the Mystery Nana could be??? I'm sure that "Nana" and new baby girl will love what you're making. That's really sweet of you to do that.

Love the pictures of Emmy. She looks like she's getting to be a real handful. But I know you love having her there!

How are Jessica and Jason doing in their new home?

I'm trying to figure out who on earth that Nana is, the one expecting a granddaughter on March 3rd at 7:30 a.m. The suspense is killing me, Diane. LOL

Funny how quickly the mood can deteriorate, isn't it?

I can see she's working really hard to grow some hair. But my word, that photo of her with the pink headband is absolutely adorable, even if it's just sitting there and not holding back any hair. That's one cute little baby and that poodle purse is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Krissy received several of those cute baby headbands. Says she doesn't plan to use them. We'll just see about that! LOL

Hi Diane,
I'm glad you found some time to post again. I was missing you! :)

Emmy is so cute and I love all her new clothes! Little girls are so much more fun to dress than boy. So many choices! My little Josie was a month old yesterday! I know that it won't be long until she is crawling around getting into things! Right now, it's just nice to hold her. She's so still and listens intently to everything you say to her! I'm lovin' it!

Congrats on all the awards!

Hugs,
Hope

Those outfits are precious! And so is the little gal in them!

Congrats on the awards, I think maybe I've received some of these same ones but have neglected to acknowledge them...shamey on me!

Have a wonderful day!

I know that Nana is going to love that package Diane. What a sweet thing to do.
Emmy is just adorable! As far as hair clips go - when my first niece was born many years ago, she was the first girl baby in the family. We couldn't wait to dress her in frills and put all sorts of bows in her hair. She defied us all by being bald as a cue ball for months and months and months. My sister-in-law finally pasted (gently) a bow on her sweet little head!!
Enjoy your day with her.

Emmy's new dresses are so cute. They're just perfect for such a pretty baby girl. My great granddaughter will be a year old next month and doesn't have much hair yet either. But you know, when you see these little sweethearts smile you don't notice the lack of hair at all. Arent those smiles captivating?
Have a wonderful week-end DIane.

Hi Diane,

You can always count on me for later in the afternoon or evening, lol. I just love the pictures of Emmy and all the pretties for her. I just love cute little infant dresses.

You know what? I think Emmy looks a lot like you, and she's a beautiful baby. I hope you can see the favor when you look at her.

Hello dear Diane:-)

Hmmmm I truly wonder who the Nana is that you're talking about??? hehe I noticed she has commented already and wonders herself?? lol

Pearl is certainly a very giving person with such a soft heart...those outfits she sent Emmy are just adorable!! That kid will be the best dressed one around:-)

Isn't it funny how we can't wait for babies to start crawling and walking but once they do, you wish they couldn't! lol I loved seeing new pictures of Emmy, she is just such a little darling...can't get over how much she's growing!!

Congratulations on the awards...I need to make an award page for myself on my blog, running out of room of where to put them. lol You have a good idea doing that!!

Hope Emmy hasn't been too rough on you today:-) Take care and thank you for your words of comfort on Steve, very much appreciated. xoxo

Those outfits are just too cute and Emmy looks/will look adorable in them as usual!

I love my nephews, but I long for a niece to spoil! I don't think that will happen as both my sisters are finished having babies and my brother, well, he's too picky like me to be married. LOL My best friend's daughter will be 18 in April so it's been awhile since I've bought any girly-girl stuff. It's so much more fun shopping for a girl with all the options!

Congrats on all your awards! You deserve them.

Happy Sunday!

Hugs and blessings,
~Jada

Diane,
Emmy is beautiful. I think she looks like you. Does anyone else say that? The outfits are such classic little girl dressups. Really sweet.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see what you are making. But time will tell.
God bless you, friend, and all your loved ones.
Nancy
