Sunday Dinner, July 15, 2007

Remember that ham sandwich that I said we were having for Sunday Dinner last week? Um, yeah. There's a real good possibility if we eat dinner here at my place Sunday that a fried ham sandwich will be on the menu. In fact, I'd say the chances are near 100%.

There's always the chance we'll be eating out somewhere. I talked to my sister Ducky just little while ago and she's not sure what she may do. Ducky's the one with the wheels so I'll be going where ever she takes me. She usually ends up driving her car on Sundays. We may end up at her son's and daughter in law's place or we may meet them at a restaurant. We're all about to need a Seth fix and we like Danny and Mikki a little bit, too. ;o)

Now, what are your plans for your Sunday Dinner? Post your menu or your plans in the comments and make us all drool and turn green with envy.

Bev at Mountain Mama tagged me to do this meme, so here goes:

5 THINGS MEME

Five things to do before I die

1. Live long enough to see Emmy grow up and see her babies.
2. Learn to play the guitar and/or piano.

3. Have my own home rather than an apartment.

4. Travel more by car or train.

5. Meet some of my dear blogging buddies in real life.

Five things I can do

1. Sing fairly well.

2. Sew, crochet, cross stitch, quilt and other needlework.

3. Cook and bake.

4. Love fiercely.

5. Grow almost anything.

Five things I can't do

1. Knit, to save my life.

2. See without my glasses or contacts. I'm almost legally blind.

3. Lose weight, apparently.

4. Stand to see anyone or any animal abused and do nothing.

5. Give up on seeing my lost loved ones come to know Jesus.

Things that attact me to the opposite sex

1. Sense of humor.

2. Personality.

3. Them being attracted to me. Ha!

4. Sense of humor.

5. Personality.

Five celebrity crushes

1. I'm 43. I don't much do celebrity crushes anymore.

2. Umm...John Wayne?

3. Uhh...Sam Elliot.

4. Hmm...Tommy Lee Jones.

5. I really don't do celebrity crushes.

I won't tag anyone, but if you'd like to do this meme, feel free, and let me know so I can drop by and read your answers.
I've still got my Sunday School lesson and some other things I need to get done before bedtime, so I'm going to wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Sunday, filled with beloved family, friends, faith, and good food.

May God bless you with all you need, and enough to share.

Great job on the meme Diane. It helps explain why I like you so much!!
I believe sunday dinner is going to be leftovers. I made a huge pot of soup the other day - so I think it will make a return engagement.
Have a blessed weekend!

Sunday Dinner...??? IS IT SUNDAY AGAIN??? Are you sure???

UUMMMMmm... have to go find something.

Maybe I'll do this meme. I haven't done any yet...might be fun.....

You and I have a couple of things in common...like blindness. heehee. I'm way past the legal blindness mark. For those of you who don't know. The big E at the top of the eye chart?? If you can't see it clearly you're legally blind. That's 20/400 (as opposed to 20/20) Me?? I couldn't even tell you there WAS a chart. Thank God for glasses and contacts!! My life would be very different indeed without them.

I enjoyed reading your answers Diane, And yes, we certainly do have a lot in common.
I like John Wayne too but I don't know the others you mentioned.
I don't know whats for dinner tomorrow, but tonight is fried codfish, cabbage and carrots steamed with bacon, and parsley potatoes.
Have a great Sunday dear.

Great meme! I can't see a thing without my glasses either. I trying to think what I'll fix for dinner tomorrow. We have some lovely fresh corn on the cob, so maybe that, with grilled hamburgers and a big salad.
Not too inspiring is it!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
xoxo

That's a great meme--I might do it. I have another that I was tagged for that I haven't done yet--Maybe I'll get to both of them this week.

Sunday dinner--Leftovers from tonight's dinner. We celebrated Lee's birthday with our children and the grands. Lee chose Famous Dave's. We got the carry out All American. SO GOOD!! The meal included brisket, ribs, and chicken with all the fixin's--slaw, taters, beans, cornbread and corn on the cob. Then we had cupcakes and ice cream.

I think there is enough left for anyone who is still here for lunch. I might have to add a little something like a salad or some cantaloupe or whatever I have that works. Yum!

Have a good Sunday!

Good meme, Diane.

I'm not one for traditional Sunday lunches, but tend to have lasagna, or chicken or something like that.

Rob's collecting restaurant gift certificates like he thinks we can play rummy with them soon, so he doesn't know it yet but he's going to fork over either the Texas Roadhouse or the Applebee's today. I ain't cookin' !!

I don't do celebrity crushes either. Except Josh Groban. Or Tommy Lee Jones. LOL

This is a great meme. I may have to do this one. The blog fodder is drying up around my place. :-)

I enjoyed reading about the different "five things".

I was going to have meatloaf and potatoes for dinner today, but we ended up going out to Arby's after church and the kids are gone for the day, so I'm not gonna make anything for dinner! A nice afternoon off! Hubby and I will just have a small snack of some kind if we're hungry! I hope you had a wonderful Lord's Day! God bless you!

Hi Diane,
I see you have met my friend Melinda ... she's lovely, isn't she!!
Hope your week is going well ... it's Tuesday morning 9.30ish as I write. I am working later ... starting at 11.
I have been busily updating my photo blog, and now, finally, my postcard blog. I had heaps of postcards, some from last year, that I hadn't scanned and posted ... this is what I'm working on right now.
Have a wonderful week.
Oh yeah, I have re-installed MSN, so hopefully we can catch up again soon.
Take care, hugs, Meow

You did a wonderful job on your meme. Celebrities in my mind just don't exist any more...Just actors.

You picked my favorite...John Wayne.

Hugs,
Connie

She is home in Queensland now.
Thanks for your comments about our cows and I heard about the Snoopy characters from Lazy Blogger.

Fun post! Love your Cute Sunday dinner button!
I would love to get into making traditional Sunday dinners...lately with out schedule, it's been a challenge, but I think I could actually do this now...
And I feel so old...you're just 43? I'm 44, and I can tell you I still have innocent little crushes on celebs once in awhile. I hate to admit it, but if I were a teen again, I'd be in love with Troy from High School Musical...LOL
Blessings!
Remember, my children are only five and eight, for goodness sakes...so we are young!

Hi again Diane ~~ Sorry about assuming that comment was from you. I have replied to the other Diane. It was nice to visit you anyway, and I sure do love your hydrangeas!! The peas you mentioned look so nice. I love peas that have to be shelled. All I see are snap peas and snow peas. Take care Diane, Love, Merle.
