These pictures were all taken at
Gunner Pool, just outside of Fifty-Six, Arkansas,
from Friday, September 1-Monday, September 4, 2006.
We're leaving Friday morning to go back for the weekend.
Just me and my sister Donna this time,
and we will probably be back on Sunday.
These were all taken with my digital camera.
I'll have more pics when I get my disposablecameras developed.
Till, then....Enjoy...

Deeper water about 50 yards upstream of a little dam.
We fished here and caught several small bream, perch,
crappie and trout.
The sun broke through the clouds just before
I snapped this picture.
Jon caught this little feller and several
more just like him.
Jon with his hair still wet after a
chilly late afternoon swim.
chilly late afternoon swim.
Donna wasn't anticipating having her
picture took here. ;-)
The fire is going for supper, and the coffee pot
is perking on the grill behind her.
As for our menus, we really roughed it.
Bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, hot dogs,
marshmallows, cornish hens,
hamburgers, grilled pork chops,
fresh perked coffee....
Yeah, we suffered, folks. ;-)
I'm taking my digital back with me this weekend and
I'll try to get some different shots of the area.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and I'll try to get
my Sunday Dinner post up late tonight for
those who want to participate.
Love and blessings to all....

Nice photos of a beautiful area! I can see why you like it so well. I'll look forward to seeing more later.
I love the pictures! I can see why you're going back. Looks like a wonderful place to camp. And your menu? Yum! We don't eat that good at home! LOL.
Hope your weekend is fabulous!
Okay. I MIGHT could camp with those views and that food. MAYBE. :-)
What beautiful pictures! I'm new to your blog and to blogging. I am trying to make my way around to all the different blogs. Every one is so unique and so well written. I had no idea all of this was going on in cyberspace. When I thought of blogging, I thought politics. I feel so blessed to be a part of all this.
Yippee!! I added you to my blogroll. Every time I try to do something like that my heart literally pounds in my chest. I think I'm expecting the blog to evaporate into cyberspace!! Thanks for visiting.

Hey Diane, I love to camp. The air matress will make you feel like you are in camping heaven lol. It makes a big difference. I love camp food too.
Hurry home.
Beautiful photos of a serene place! Boy you guys really "roughed it with all that food!"
Love the lighting in those shots of the water and the bluff on the other side. Lovely spot!
What sweet photos, sounds like you had a great time. Camping is such a part of our summer. The woods - nothing better. Anything cooked over an outdoor fire is hard to beat!
Cornish hens? Good grief! Y'all know how to camp! You got some gorgeous photos on this trip. I'm pretty sure the only reason you left there at all was to run home and grab a lawn chair and an air mattress. Pretty obvious you love it there since you're already on your way back.
Seriously, Diane. Those are really beautiful photos. I love the way the light reflects off everything in them too. And when I see the reflections in the water it immediately makes me think of Bob Ross paintings. He was really good with that. Can't wait to see your next photos.
What wonderful photos ... it looks like an ideallic and serene place to camp. Looking forward to more photos after next weekend.
Hope you have a good one.
Take care, Meow
The light and reflections in your pictures are beautiful. What a tiny lizard. I have never seen one so small.
