I Have Been Infected With "The Indie Virus"......

I just visited my friend Holymama!'s blog, and it seems she was recently infected with a virus. Don't get alarmed, folks, it's not the barfing or snotting kind of virus, or the "crash my computer" kind, either. As I understand it, it is a linking kind of thing to see how many bloggers can be reached and recognized by tagging and linking to each others' blogs. I am going to do what several other bloggers have done and just copy and paste from their pages:

Pearsonified has started a small, casual social experiment, it’s called “The Indie Virus.” Here’s how Pearsonified describes this experiment:The experiment, henceforth referred to as “The Indie Virus,” has two goals:

* To bring exposure to lesser known blogs (especially those outside of Technorati’s top 100)
* To explore the metrics behind a viral linking campaign launched by the “little guys” (less popular blogs)

Click on the links to learn more about the Indie Virus. Holymama was tagged to participate, and she in turn tagged me. So I guess it's my turn to choose my two victims. Hmmmmmm....................I see one of my first choices, Mike, has already been tagged by his brother, Joe. Who to choose..........Who to choose.............?
There are so many good blogs out there. I have noticed that several of the blogs I regularly read have already been tagged for this, and some have been tagged several times already. So, I suppose I need to choose........

One of the first blogs I started reading was boomama. I highly recommend her blog for a good laugh, for Christian insight, for cute Alex photos, and for Mississippi State sporting news.

My other recommendation for your blogging pleasure is Jeana. If you see a recurring theme of laughter and Christian insight, that's because there IS one. The link to Jeana's post is below. The reason that it is below and not linked like the others is that I am not smart enough to figure out how to do it, thanks very muchly for asking. LOL

Try Boomama and Jeana, you'll like them.

Boomama and Jeana--------"TAG, YOU'RE IT !!!!"
Now it's your turn to infect at least 2 other blogger friends with The Indie Virus.

UPDATE: I'm not having much luck with this virus thing. Jeana has already been tagged, and the link to boomama's blog went wonky on me. I fixed the link, boomama. I hope, :) I appreciate boomama being such a good sport, too. I don't usually participate in chains and tags and such, but holymama! tagged me, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Anyway, I think just about everybody in my little circle of blogdom has been tagged at least once, and some several times, so enough with the Indie Virus, already, and on to some serious bloggery! I shall attempt a for-real, sho' 'nuff post shortly. :)

Thanks, Lena! Sorry to tell you you're too late. Cariol tagged me a few days ago thanks anyway!

Yeah, Joe tagged me early on, but thanks for considering me. I haven't tagged anyone yet, because I still haven't read up on it, though I do understand the concept of it. I know when I first found out that Joe was tagged, it freaked me out. I had no clue what it was. I kept hitting the update button on my virus scanner. :-)

Jeana,
LOL, okay, I didn't notice you had already been infected! :)

Mike,
I wasn't sure either when I saw a few others who were talking about this on their blogs. Still not exactly sure, but I have the general gist of it.

Anyway, moving on............. ;)

Okay, Diane, I got it up on my blog, but I didn't know who to tag. I'm a failure. :-) Also, the link to my blog in your post is some weird HaloScan trackback thing - which seems to be happening a couple of places today. You may want to do some in-blog-stigation. :-)

Yes, I think you're right...and I can pretty much vouch that if the tag made it all the way to me, we are now at the end of the internet :-) I guess the guy's experiment worked, though - it certainly seemed to make the rounds.
