Nope, not even a tad bit. It has dropped to 34 degrees since I've been up. I woke up around 2:15a.m. I am having some coffee now. I can hear the wind roaring outside at times. I just knew it was too good to be true. As I was looking at the radar a bit ago, it looks to have broken up some and gone around us once again. I guess we just live in the wrong areas for Snow. LOL. Me and the girls moved some bags and boxes out of their rooms here last night over to the other house. We only made a couple of trips because it was so windy last night. The wind would just cut right thru you. Take care my friend and have a great day/weekend. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.Karen H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02296807307750567830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21736979.post-60209900795236714832008-03-06T21:29:00.000-06:002008-03-06T21:29:00.000-06:00Oh looky, a comment from little ol' me. You've done such a great job on them, and I'm sure that the recipients appreciate their gorgeousness. Such things are a labour of love, aren't they? I can get really fed up with working on a grown up project partway through, but that never happens with baby stuff. Wonder why that is? ;)

Tell you what, I'll swap a few days of your crazy weather for our relentless cold. It's -23 C. as I type this, and it was -34 when I got up this morning, not factoring in the windchill either time. It has to break one of these days, but spring obviously isn't in a hurry to get here this time around.

Take care, my friend! Lots of love to you and yours. :)

Eleanor xxooAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21736979.post-39105892703081951912008-03-06T21:08:00.000-06:002008-03-06T21:08:00.000-06:00Diane,Sorry I haven't been over for a visit in so ...Diane,

Sorry I haven't been over for a visit in so long. There's been lots going on here. Michelle's incision opened, which meant she needed some extra care and then I came down with the flu. So much to do - so little time.

I love the afghans you make. When Brandon was born, I gave Michelle ten and do you know they're still going. The boys use them to cover up when they are cold. Of course they only go around their shoulders now, but they are still very useful after 12 years.

For Sunday dinner we had slow cooker chicken. Hubby made it by following my instructions and it was delicious.

Take care, Diane. I'm going now to look at the photos of Emmy. Yes, grandchildren can tire us out.

Blessings,
MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08175754179624182953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21736979.post-24141273279382807522008-03-06T19:41:00.000-06:002008-03-06T19:41:00.000-06:00Good Evening Diane,Well are you getting ready for ...Good Evening Diane,
Well are you getting ready for the BIG SNOW we are suppose to get? We are under a Winter Storm Warning until midnight Friday night. They said on the 6:00p.m. weather forecast we could get anywhere from 4 to 8 inches. I guess we will have to wait and see tho. I know it sure is cold outside tonight. Me and the girls moved a few things over to the other house a bit ago, and that wind will cut right thru you. I hope you have been having a good week so far. Did yall get any Snow on Tuesday? We got just a tad bit, but not even a dusting. It did stick on a few things outside but that was about it. It was all gone later in the day. Take care my friend and have a great evening. You are either up early or up late. LOL. We sure did get alot of rain here yesterday. I'm guessing we got about 4 or 5 inches here. It was a very nasty day. I see where we are under a Winter Weather Advisory now until noon. I'm not getting my hopes up either for anything here. It will probably go around us like it always does. I think Ryan said that Jonesboro may get a dusting. I'm just glad we didn't get any severe storms yesterday. I do hope you are feeling better as well. I felt kind of bad yesterday afternoon, but I'm feeling okay now. I got up this morning around 1:30a.m. LOL. My sleep patterns are so crazy sometimes. Hey, don't forget this Saturday night we have to set our clocks up an hours. I always hate doing that. I wish they would leave the time just one way. I don't like having to set our clocks up an hour earlier because I lose an hour's sleep. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. Sorry it's taken me so long to answer your question but I've been crazy busy the last several days.

I'm sorry, Julie. I don't have printed patterns for those afghans. The one is a basic Granny Square and the one with the popcorns I have no idea the name of it.

I've been making the basic Granny since I learned to crochet about 35 years ago. I just kind of do my own thing with the border around it.

The popcorn square I used to have the pattern for but lost it years ago. I've made so many of the afghans, literally dozens of them from baby size to queen size, that I have it memorized. I got the pattern in 1982 so I'm sure it's out of print. I haven't seen the pattern anywhere since I bought it with an afghan kit from Herrschner's 26 years ago.

I may try to type out the popcorn square pattern. Several other blogger buddies have asked for both the patterns. If I do I'll let you know and send you copies.

Love and hugs,

DianeDiane@Diane's Placehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919687116633720697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21736979.post-80398758002448315662008-03-03T18:22:00.000-06:002008-03-03T18:22:00.000-06:00Sunday dinner here yesterday was stuffed green pep...Sunday dinner here yesterday was stuffed green peppers.
